When they reopened, attendance was lagging. They needed a refreshed creative campaign to let the community know they were back at full capacity and ready to host the fun.

The Need 
For nearly two years, Sky Ute Casino and Resort closed its doors to the public in order to support the community in staying virus-free during the Covid pandemic. When they reopened, attendance was lagging. They needed a refreshed creative campaign to let the community know they were back at full capacity and ready to host the fun. 

The Solution 
The Esparza team created an integrated, cross-platform campaign that targeted both Colorado residents and out-of-state visitors. The digital and social media campaigns highlighted key areas of the property with different persona groups, including families, tourists, outdoor enthusiasts, foodies and more. Campaign messaging was created to align with each of these groups, including ad sets that promoted the dining experience, the hotel experience, the gaming experience, the outdoor experience and the family experience. 

Alongside the digital ads, a refreshed outdoor campaign and television spot were released to highlight the variety of activities the casino and resort offers throughout the year.

The Results 
Sky Ute’s videos and ads gained millions of impressions and tens of thousands of clicks. The property’s website saw a 55% increase in total users and a 60% increase in sessions year over year. And most importantly, the casino reported increases in foot traffic that directly correlate to when the campaign was running.
