Esparza is seeking an experienced website project manager to oversee web-based projects. This person will manage the infrastructure for fulfilling website services with our clients from concept to completion. 

The successful candidate should be able to project manage the development of a full-service website, provide guidance on web issues and work collaboratively with outsourced web developers, designers, copywriters, account executives and clients. 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Overseeing the development of front-end and back-end web architecture
  • Communicating with web developers to ensure they understand client expectations, timelines, budgets etc.
  • Developing project scope, requirements documents, timeline and budget in coordination with the account executive team and seeing the project through to completion  
  • Ensuring completed site meets client expectations in terms of content, functionality, etc.  
  • Working with brand strategists, graphic designers, outsourced web developers, copywriters and account executives to bring a site to life 
  • Troubleshooting website issues and offering guidance based on industry best practices 
  • Documenting website development processes and procedures and ensuring projects adhere to them 
  • Delivering status reports on website progress to leadership team and clients 

 

REQUIREMENTS  

  • Thorough understanding of project management principles as they relate to web development
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills 
  • Ability to work independently and present web work to clients in a thorough and professional manner.
  • Understanding of the technical side of bringing a website to life and ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the development process
  • Ability to synthesize information and explain projects in an easily understandable way to a non-technical audience of internal stakeholders and clients

Esparza Digital + Advertising is seeking talented interns to join our 2023 Ignite Internship Program. At Esparza, we believe interns should be more than paper pushers and coffee fetchers. The Ignite internship program is designed to help young creatives, digital media specialists and account services launch their careers by giving them real-world experience working in a fast-paced digital agency.

You’ll work as part of a team creating best-in-class work for a variety of clients and brands. As an intern at Esparza, you’ll get to do real work, and you’ll walk away with portfolio-building pieces and real-world experience.

Who Should Apply?

We’re looking for interns in the following areas: 

  • Copywriting 
  • Design and art direction 
  • Web development/UX design
  • Video production and editing 
  • Digital media specialists (organic social media management, paid social media management, email marketing management, display marketing, SEO, etc.) 
  • Account Services

You should have some amount of experience and a large amount of interest in the area you are applying for. Work samples that show your capabilities are encouraged but not required. 

When Does the Program Run?

Each program runs for three months and is timed to coincide with the academic calendar year. 

Summer Program: June through August 

Fall Program: September through November 

Spring Program: February through May 

What’s the Benefit of the Program? 

  • Real-world work examples you can include in a portfolio 
  • Experience working as part of a digital advertising team 
  • Practice presenting and pitching your work as part of an end-of-term, agency-wide presentation
  • Please note that this is an unpaid internship opportunity 

Where Will I Work?

The internship is located in Esparza’s downtown Albuquerque office and remotely as needed. 

What Are the Hours? 

We ask that interns commit to working 20 hours per week. We offer interns a very flexible schedule to accommodate other commitments. 

Do I Have to Be a College Student?

No, you do not have to be a current college student to participate in the internship program. Interns should be early in their careers in order to get the most out of the program.
