SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Account Coordinator position provides support and coordination on a wide range of client accounts. This includes maintaining a high level of awareness and organization with client activities and projects, detail-oriented management and professional communication with key contacts. This is a full-time, salaried position.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with client account management including:

  • Assist account managers with day-to-day activities
  • Monitor and support management of projects
  • Assist with research, including but not limited to: industry and competitive insights, survey development and implementation, roundtable discussions and reporting
  •   Preparation for meetings including meeting materials, communications and presentations
  •   Work on reports for clients to present findings and strategy based on success of current campaigns
  •   Develop content for new business proposals and attend relevant meetings and presentations

 

REQUIRED SKILL SETS

  •   Exceptional written, oral and presentation communication abilities
  •   High level of organization
  •   Strong work ethic and leadership qualities
  •   Ability to innovate and adapt easily to change
  •   High competency level of computer and software skills compatible with job responsibilities

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  •   Bachelor’s degree in Advertising/Marketing or relevant field
  •   Experience working at a creative, advertising, consulting and/or marketing agency strongly preferred
  •   Experience organizing time-sensitive events
  •   General awareness or exposure to branding/marketing/advertising

Esparza Digital + Advertising is seeking talented interns to join our 2022 Ignite Internship Program. At Esparza, we believe interns should be more than paper pushers and coffee fetchers. The Ignite internship program is designed to help young creatives and digital media specialists launch their careers by giving them real-world experience working in a fast-paced digital agency. 

You’ll work as part of a team creating best-in-class work for a variety of clients and brands. As an intern at Esparza, you’ll get to do real work, and you’ll walk away with portfolio-building pieces and real-world experience.

Who Should Apply?

We’re looking for interns in the following areas: 

  • Copywriting 
  • Design and art direction 
  • Web development/UX design
  • Video production and editing 
  • Digital media specialists (organic social media management, paid social media management, email marketing management, display marketing, SEO, etc.) 

You should have some amount of experience and a large amount of interest in the area you are applying for. Work samples that show your capabilities are encouraged but not required. 

When Does the Program Run?

Each program runs for three months and is timed to coincide with the academic calendar year. 

Summer Program: June through August 

Fall Program: September through November 

Spring Program: February through April 

What’s the Benefit of the Program? 

  • Real-world work examples you can include in a portfolio 
  • Experience working as part of a digital advertising team 
  • Practice presenting and pitching your work as part of an end-of-term, agency-wide presentation
  • Please note that this is an unpaid internship opportunity 

 

Where Will I Work?

The internship is located in Esparza’s downtown Albuquerque office and remotely as needed. 

What Are the Hours? 

We ask that interns commit to working 20 hours per week. We offer interns a very flexible schedule to accommodate other commitments. 

Do I Have to Be a College Student?

No, you do not have to be a current college student to participate in the internship program. Interns should be early in their careers in order to get the most out of the program.
