The Need

Scholar’s Edge is New Mexico’s 529 college savings plan available to clients of financial advisors. Scholar’s Edge needed a website that differentiated itself from the consumer only 529 plan website TheEducationPlan.com, and would speak to the financial advisors of parents living in the state of New Mexico.

The Solution

Esparza designed ScholarsEdge.com (consumer facing) and the microsite AdvisorsEdge.com (for financial advisors only) that are both unique to the Scholar’s Edge brand. The sites both communicate the different “Edges” (benefits) that the plan offers, along with important investment portfolio options in an easy to understand and visually interesting way.

The Results

After one month of consumer ads, web traffic increased by 88.9% to the consumer website. Unique users increased by 38.8% within two weeks of microsite launch for the advisors website.

To help navigate the often-confusing world of investments, we created a website for the Scholar’s Edge program from OppenheimerFunds. Using color coding, simple graphs and icons, Esparza created a web portal that was easy to use and understand.
